Early Life and Career

Kyrie Andrew Irving (/ˈkaɪriː/ KY-ree), was born on March 23, 1992, in Melbourne, Australia. He began his basketball career at Duke University, where he earned national recognition for his exceptional skills.

NBA Career

Irving was drafted first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2011 NBA draft. He played for the Cavaliers until 2017, when he was traded to the Boston Celtics. In 2019, he signed with the Brooklyn Nets. Irving was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2023.

Recent Success with the Mavericks

In Game 3 of the 2023 Western Conference Finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Irving and Luka Doncic combined to outscore Minnesota by themselves in the fourth quarter. Irving's 21 points and Doncic's 14 points proved crucial in the Mavericks' victory.
